Local Manufacturing Company Wins Safety Award

PROSPECT—On October 6th, Prospect Machine Products, Inc. received the State of Connecticut Workers' Compensation Commission 2004 Safety Award. Prospect Machine Products, Inc. was one of only two companies within the state to receive this honor.

Chairman of the State of Connecticut Workers' Compensation Commission, John Mastropietro, along with four other representatives of the Commission, presented the Award to the Company for their commitment to safety, which resulted in two consecutive years of zero lost work day injuries.

In his presentation, Mr. Mastropietro stressed the importance a safe work environment plays in improving production rates and driving down operating costs to offset the increases in the cost of materials, fuel, and insurance premiums.

Prospect Machine Products, an ISO 9001:2000 certified company, has been manufacturing deep draw metal components for over 50 years. The company serves the automotive, medical devices, instruments, electric and electronic equipment, telecommunications, and appliance controls markets within the US, Canada, Mexico, Australia and the United Kingdom.
